Analyzes and develops a study protocol. Manages all phases of studies. Serves as an expert resource and mentors other internal and external study/protocol personnel. Troubleshoots and resolves problems and contributes significantly to discussions on research study design, overall project management, and study results. Participates in designing, organizing, and monitoring protocols including budge elements. Writes sections of grant applications, abstracts/posters, and manuscripts. Participates in the education of staff in areas required to carry out the protocol. Works collaboratively with Oncology (medical and radiation) research, Minnesota Cancer Center Clinical trials and other departments as necessary to support the growing research presence in SEMN.
Bachelor's degree in a business, science or healthcare field required with a minimum of one year experience in a clinical research setting or related field Completion of Mayo Clinic competency based assessment program will be required within one year of hire.
Graduate or diploma from a study coordinator training program is preferred. Medical terminology course preferred. SoCRA or ARCP certification is preferred.
Exemption status Non-exempt
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $22.53 per hour.

Schedule details Monday - Friday; 8-hour days; flexible start times (between 7am and 8am)
Depending on future research opportunities, occasional weekend requests may be made.
