BluePearl Referral + Emergency Pet Hospital in Arden Hills, MN is seeking a motivated and compassionate Triage Assistant for our growing ER department.
Full-time overnight hours available. Shifts are typically 4p-4a, 3 days a week. We offer competitive night and weekend shift differentials.

As a Triage Veterinary Assistant:
You triage emergency cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure.
You assist the doctor with creating patient treatment plans and thoroughly explaining to owners.
You perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients.
You perform in-house diagnostics such as in-house bloodwork.
You have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.
You have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
You prepare medications and our patients/clients for discharge with concise directions for our clients.
You will alert Veterinarian if patient's status changes and/or physical exam or monitoring parameters are outside of normal ranges.
You support Veterinarian and client through euthanasia process.
You are able to read and follow orders written on treatment sheet accurately and in a timely manner.
