The Senior Director of Specialty Clinical Programs & Engagement directs Specialty clinical program and product strategy. This position leads a team of clinicians who drive the overall clinical strategy, portfolio of clinical solutions, outcomes and tracking for Prime’s Specialty Clinical products. This position represents the department on cross functional initiatives and establishes and maintains internal and external partnerships to drive successful execution of specialty programs and strategy. The Senior Director of Specialty Clinical Programs & Engagement is also responsible for the creation and oversight of Prime’s specialty provider engagement strategy, including mechanisms for provider input, implementation/pull through of clinical solutions and feedback to providers.
Serve as a subject matter expert within the specialty domain to lead a team of clinicians in driving departmental strategy and new clinical product offerings
Develop clinical solutions for specific therapeutic categories; oversee the development and implementation of product solutions
Develop and grow positive, long term relationships with providers across Prime’s network; develop and implement strategies and programs aimed as delivering the highest quality of care and strong financial performance
Proactively monitor market trends and competitive landscape to ensure all provider outreach and engagement objectives and actions align with the market, as well as Prime’s business strategy
Manage essential business processes and allocate resources to support the development and operations of designated clinical programs, including programs related to specialty designated networks and reporting
Monitor the performance of clinical products to ensure the outcome improves cost and quality of care and assures regulatory compliance
Maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders across Health Outcomes, Trade, Clinical, and Networks, on the development of new clinical programs, analysis of existing programs, and delivery of clinical strategy; partner with external stakeholders to provide oversight for all Specialty clinical programs
Provide support to Specialty program and product team in development and maintenance of any additional specialty solutions
Other duties as assigned
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree and current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy in the state where the position is located
10 years of work experience in clinical programs, specialty pharmacy, or related area
7 years of leadership/people management experience
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Ability to facilitate change
Effective written and verbal communication
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and at all levels within an organization
Ability to think critically and anticipate the broad impact of decisions
Demonstrated ability to manage projects from ideation to completion
Management and/or leadership experience in a PBM environment
Experience working within a matrix environment
Experience working with providers
Advanced degree or Certification in specific therapeutic category
Minimum Physical Job Requirements

Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
