Braun Intertec Staff Engineer/Scientist III, Environmental in Bloomington, Minnesota
As a Staff Engineer/Scientist III, several specific roles must be performed. They may include project management, technical oversight, client maintenance, business development and employee supervision.
Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments consistent with AIA and ASTM Standards
Conduct soil, vapor and groundwater contaminant investigations
Prepare scopes of work, work breakdown structures and cost proposals
Perform detailed cost estimates for environmental investigation and remediation projects
Coordinate and direct sub-contractor personnel
Data gathering, preparation, interpretation and review for accuracy and completeness
Report writing and project coordination activities
Assists senior scientists with management of projects
Operates and maintains vehicles and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Travels to local and regional project sites
Ability to read and independently analyze and interpret technical reports, technical guidance documents, and governmental regulations pertaining to environmental contamination and remediation
Strong technical writings skills including written reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Attention to detail
Ability to effectively present information verbally and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public
Ability to manage a multiple variables and solve practical problems independently
Ability to successfully complete work in remote locations
4 year degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Studies or related field
3+ years demonstrated experience w/ environmental field data collection, investigation, and remediation oversight
OSHA 40 hour Hazwoper and current annual refreshers
