Job Summary
Our AECOM Duluth, MN office is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Field Technician. We seek a technically proficient individual that has strong field capabilities and can convey thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner. Excellent communication, organization and prioritization skills will be necessary to work in our collaborative team-oriented office; strong interpersonal skills are a must.
Performs routine fieldwork as a trainee (such as environmental sampling, assisting with calculations, and operations, maintenance and inspection of equipment of client site), working under close supervision.
Performs routine tasks in support of project staff and handles less complex duties.
Entry-level position; may not require previous experience.
Minimum Requirements
- HS + None
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree in Environmental Science or Related field.
0-2 years professional experience
Ability to work in field for extended periods of time in challenging weather/field conditions
Ability to travel and work remotely as required
Excellent mechanical aptitude
Self-motivated, able to follow through with challenging field and office assignments
Experience with pneumatic and electric submersible pumps, electric control panels, and conveyance piping
Strong mechanical background
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective organizational skills; time management skills; flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse project tasks; an eagerness to acquire new skills and meet new challenges
Ability to manage subcontractors
Ability to work well in a project team and a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail on field notes and data quality
Excellent attention to Health and Safety
