Job Summary

Our AECOM Duluth, MN office is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Field Technician. We seek a technically proficient individual that has strong field capabilities and can convey thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner. Excellent communication, organization and prioritization skills will be necessary to work in our collaborative team-oriented office; strong interpersonal skills are a must.

• Performs routine fieldwork as a trainee (such as environmental sampling, assisting with calculations, and operations, maintenance and inspection of equipment of client site), working under close supervision.

• Performs routine tasks in support of project staff and handles less complex duties.

• Entry-level position; may not require previous experience.

Minimum Requirements

• HS + None

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree in Environmental Science or Related field.

• 0-2 years professional experience

• Ability to work in field for extended periods of time in challenging weather/field conditions

• Ability to travel and work remotely as required

• Excellent mechanical aptitude

• Self-motivated, able to follow through with challenging field and office assignments

• Experience with pneumatic and electric submersible pumps, electric control panels, and conveyance piping

• Strong mechanical background

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Effective organizational skills; time management skills; flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse project tasks; an eagerness to acquire new skills and meet new challenges

• Ability to manage subcontractors

• Ability to work well in a project team and a fast-paced environment

• Attention to detail on field notes and data quality

• Excellent attention to Health and Safety

• HAZWOPER 40 Training
