12 month contract via Kelly Engineering

THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Process Engineer provides front-end loading (preliminary engineering) and detailed engineering for a complete and cost effective project design for capital and expense projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a member of a project team is expected to network, coordinate and collaborate with other team members, including engineering contractors to provide high quality deliverables at each phase of the project.

  • Provides coordination with lead designers and collaborative ownership of the process function on projects.

  • Mentors other engineers and assists in improving their competency.

  • Providing technical plant support in specialized areas including process simulation, modeling, risk analysis, and process optimization

  • Responsible for all process deliverables to support FEL and detail design on capital and expense projects.

  • Provides support for cost estimation and procurement in soliciting and reviewing vendor quotes for services, materials, and equipment.

  • Support the site with operations/equipment troubleshooting associated with process as required.

  • Completes GMISS forms as required.

  • A member of a project group and is accountable to Engineering Management who offers guidance to assure functional excellence, competency and development.

  • Ensure all process drawings are field verified and updated to reflect as-built conditions at the close of capital and expense projects. Critical Success Factors: • Using interpersonal techniques to identify and resolve plant personnel/team social issues as per Dupont policies

  • Technical knowledge of the mechanical (primary), chemical, and work processes involved in achieving business objectives

  • Strong technical skills and experience with plant operations

Important information: This position is recruited for by a remote Kelly office, not your local Kelly branch. Applicants must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
