Bituminous Roadways Inc Asphalt Plant Operator in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota

Job Information:

We are an established union highway/heavy asphalt contractor looking for a Plant Operator to work at one of our plant locations.

Applicant Job Duties:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Keep asphalt plant mechanically sound and reliable

  • Sign truck drivers in

  • Maintain and order materials such as a/c and aggregate

  • Have mix ready when jobs are to start

  • Communicate with Pit/Loader Operator on daily needs

  • Communicate with Lab Tech on daily results

  • Stay in touch with Paving Foreman regarding job orders

  • Keep Truck Dispatch notified on any possible issues with trucking (no shows)

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' of operating an asphalt plant

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be organized and reliable

  • Strong communication skills

  • Must be a team player

  • Knowledge of and experience with hand tools and their mechanics

  • Strong computer skills a plus

  • Bilingual a plus (Spanish and English)
