The incumbent must ensure proficient, quality clinical outcomes for all clinic patients, and is responsible for competency in the following tasks or skills. Education/Experience: * Bachelor's degree Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses: * Prosthetic and Orthotic Certification required * Diverse experience level from Pediatrics to Geriatrics. * Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. Health Care Products Department Summary: Park Nicollet Health Care Products (HCP) is a recognized leader in providing patients with convenient access to provider recommended health related products. HCP viewed by Park Nicollet as an extension of the provider's care, by providing products used at home to help patients ensure success with self-managing any number of health issues. Position Summary: Park Nicollet's Orthotics and Prosthetics department supports the Meadowbrook, TRIA Bloomington and TRIA Maple Grove locations to Physician groups, to support the DME needs of patients by providing products used at home to help facilitate the successful management of any number of orthotic and prosthetic issues. The incumbent must ensure proficient, quality clinical outcomes for all clinic patients, and is responsible for competency in the following tasks or skills. Tasks and Responsibilities: Percentage of Time: 1. Evaluates orthoses/prostheses or prosthetic devices on patients in regard to fit, alignment, cosmesis, function and patient acceptance. Determine appropriateness to accepted criteria. Adjust, revise, or redo as necessary. 20 % 2. Obtain patient history and perform clinical examination to determine; muscle strength, neuromuscular function, passive and active range of motion, flexibility/correctibility, static and kinetic biomechanical status and conduct gait analysis as needed. 20 % 3. Conduct measuring, molding, or tracing as needed following completion of clinical evaluation and definement or prescription criteria. 20 % 4. Consult with physicians and allied health professionals to formulation and/or modify prescription criteria, prior to or following, clinical evaluation of the patient. 15 % 5. Education of patients and their families regarding their pathology, plan of treatment and potential outcomes. 15 % 6. Maintain current, accurate patient documentation. 10% 7.
