Boston Scientific R and D Technician III - 1st Shift Job in Maple Grove, Minnesota

About the role: Our Peripheral Interventions (PI) RandD team is looking for a technician III to support the development of next generation catheter technologies for arterial and venous applications.Candidate will work collaboratively various teams to build prototypes,assess knowledge gaps and develop/conduct/report on technical experiments. Your responsibilities include: Execute assigned tasks for project deliverables with limited oversight. Construct prototype products and/or detailed test methods from concepts. Troubleshoot and suggest creative solutions to process and design issues. Test prototypes per engineering instructions and provide basic failure analysis and document test results. Perform basic statistical analysis of results. Develop new test methods and/or revise existing test methods. Use internal and qualified external vendors to obtain supplies and services. Communicate assignment status to project engineers. Train others on new product processes and procedures. What we're looking for: Minimum Qualifications AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related technical discipline 3 years related experience, including product or prototype building Previous experience with product evaluations in a laboratory setting Basic statistical analysis and reporting/summarization experience Knowledge of measurement systems and inspection methods Preferred Qualifications Assembly of medical device prototypes Collaborative partnerships with engineering and other departments for ideation of design concepts Development of basic experimental plans Detailed orientated Understand the elements of a DHF About us As a global medical technology leader for more than 35 years, our mission at Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX) is to transform lives through innovative medical solutions that improve the health of patients.
