The person hired for the position of Ceramics Additive Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the development of new 3D printed ceramic materials, processes and products as part of on-going development programs within the Advanced Materials Division.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Drive all technical aspects of an emerging ceramics additive manufacturing platform
Evaluate the current state of the art in the industry, identify gaps, and propose and lead research projects to address the gaps for ceramics AM
Works with business team to identify new products and market opportunities for 3D printed ceramic materials
Collaborates with quality, business, and manufacturing for successful commercialization of new products
Involved in literature and patent searches and will be expected to scout for new technologies and actively develop patentable inventions
Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum two (2) years of combined experience in materials in a private, public, government or military environment
Master's degree in Materials Science or Ceramic Engineering
Experience with additive manufacturing
Demonstrated ability to lead development programs
Entrepreneurial mindset and capability to explore new areas outside of direct expertise
Location: Maplewood, MN
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
Relocation: Is authorized
