Lab Analyst - Water Filtration (2nd shift) ID 2020-3716 # of Openings 1 Job Locations US-MN-Maplewood Category Science OVERVIEW Perform lab testing for industrial and water filtration products tested through chemical, mechanical, and structural tests. Supports RandD programs through developing and testing new processes or products. This is a 2nd shift position and will require a high degree of independence after the training phase. Hours: 2nd Shift -- Flexible hours starting 2-3 pm, working 8 hours, with a 90 day training period on 1st shift RESPONSIBILITIES Performance testing for industrial and water filtration products using specialized test stands Analysis of materials by gas chromatography, ICP-MS, and fluorescence microscopy Basic analysis of test data and writing of test reports Verification of lab equipment through preventative maintenance and calibrations Organize/clean lab areas Work closely with engineering team to coordinate test plans Discuss test results with project teams QUALIFICATIONS BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science, or related science Good deductive reasoning and analytical approach to problem solving Able to handle multiple assignments concurrently, self-motivated, and results-driven Able to communicate effectively Knowledge of filtration and filtration techniques About SPS at Pace Analytical Our Scientific Professional Services division partners with companies that have scientific needs both inside and outside of the laboratory.
