The Materials Projects Lead is a key member of the team reporting directly to the Materials, Planning & Logistics (MP&L) Program Manager. This position will require an experienced Supply Chain professional to be able to facilitate and drive results in a fast paced and demanding environment, leveraging strong interpersonal and leadership skills. This role will lead various projects and initiatives, supporting the Global Operations strategic plan, vision, and culture for inbound material capabilities business objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Vision and Leadership
Coordinate with multiple cross-functional Polaris leaders on project initiative and approach at the Corporate and Plant level and across other businesses and functions.
Lead internal and external research, benchmarking, and analysis.
Lead best practice and standard work changes and support change initiatives.
Own and lead deliverables and project plan for material capabilities, execution and post go-live support.
Work collaboratively across cross functional stakeholders.
Develop and implement standard processes across inbound materials, engaging and working collaboratively with subject matter experts when designing solutions and developing standard work.
Provide ongoing support on to ensure successful adoption and adherence to capability projects.
Work closely with IS project leadership on system design, implementation and maintenance.
Define and track metrics. Regularly communicate and report out on project status and key milestones.
Standard Work and Tools
Apply project management tools as applicable such as, Gantt charts, key milestones, project charter, action registers, etc.
Utilize Lean tools as applicable such as value stream mapping, kaizens, 5S, etc.
Identify best practices and share processes and tools.
Document standard work to efficiently repeat process.

Exceptional analytical skills, including use of appropriate software. Knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI and Access databases is preferred.
Ability to work effectively within tight deadlines and firm schedules.
Ability to embrace a rapidly changing environment.
Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Operations or similar field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a business setting with strong process orientation.
Experience in project management and use of project management tools.
Experience in business processes and systems within supply chain, manufacturing operations, material flow (internal and external), and logistics.
