Provides overall direction and daily management for administrative support personnel and affiliate staff members. Assists in the planning, research, development and implementation of new modified techniques, methods, practices and approaches requiring independent action and high degree of initiative. Identifies specialized, unique or complex problem areas and develops recommendations. Education/Experience: Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent preferred. Experience: 2-3 years of similar supervisory or management experience. 2-3+ years related non-supervisory related experience. Health care experience preferred. Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses: Previous human clinical trials/oncology experience preferred Proven leadership skills in organizing, planning and directing an operation and its staff. The ability to exercise good judgment and problem solving skills. Role model with strong leadership skills, ability to prioritize, multi-task and to make quick decisions in a fast paced environment. Strong patient advocacy skills and superior customer service skills. Ongoing mentorship to team members. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Additional Information Trains, orients, and manages an employee work force of 5.0 - 10.0 FTE, coordinates the workflow of operational/affiliate staff. Participate as a member of the oncology research leadership team, assist with providing onsite management during all open hours. Work in close collaboration with other leaders in the organization. Direct reports will be comprised of exempt and non-exempt clinic staff, including but not limited to Research Coordinators, Sr. Research Coordinators, Project Managers, Research Assistants, Sr. Research Nurses, Lead Specialists, and Research Interns.
