University of Minnesota Physicians Faculty Physician - Pediatric Neurology Section Head in Minneapolis, Minnesota

As the multi-specialty group practice for the faculty of the University of Minnesota Medical School, University of Minnesota Physicians has more than 950 physicians and 1,600 health professionals, providing clinical care in over 100 specialty and sub-specialty areas. The Department of Neurology at the University of Minnesota invites applications for faculty members to serve as Pediatric Neurology Division Director. Successful candidates would be at the Associate or Professor level with an M.D, D.O.. or M.D/Ph.D. specializing in pediatric neurology care. Successful candidates are physician scientists who are recognized as a leader in the field, have a record of procuring NIH funding, experience in mentoring junior faculty in the development of clinical, translational or basic research programs, and medical school or department level leadership experience. The successful applicant will be expected to work with the Neuroscience Service Line and Women's and Children's Service Line medical directors and leadership to support pediatric services the Masonic Children's Hospital on the University of Minnesota Campus as well as outpatient care in University and community clinics. Qualifications: MD license and able to practice in Minnesota American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Certified Leadership experience in an academic healthcare setting Experience in the clinical care of pediatric neurology Distinguished academic publication record Record of NIH funding Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others Must have the ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the US Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA category while in the United States.
