Syntegon Technology in the Minneapolis area specializes in the pharmaceutical industry. Complete packaging solutions are provided for parenteral drugs, ophthalmics, animal health products, vitamins, and nutritional supplements. Products include vial, capsule, syringe, and powder filling; isolation technology, and cartoning.
SUMMARY: This person will assist and lead Quality tasks and continual improvement activities at a Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, and Ophthalmic Packaging Equipment site. This role will directly contribute to COVID-19 and other pandemic related relief efforts, as part of the Syntegon team, in support of our customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gain exposure to how a Quality role supports product designs, manufacturing, suppliers, assembly, and a multinational business.
Real world interactions in a machine shop, quality assurance/inspection, assembly, engineering, and sales environment
Perform in-process and final inspection of parts and products.
Assist in managing non-conforming parts and products.
Actively participate in efforts in continual improvement processes.
Be a part of and support the Syntegon community
Apply engineering, analytics, risk based decision-making, and communication skills.
Gain exposure to some Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) support.
Must currently be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering
Must have completed at least 1+ year of college
Demonstrated organization skills, both physical and digital.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to accurately interpret drawings and record information (GD&T).
Mechanical inspection and inspection equipment knowledge.
Ability to perform research and present useful results as needed.
Strong PC skills with familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Interest in process improvement (CAPA/Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action; knowledge in this area is preferred).
Willing to take direction while also being self-motivated.
Willingness to learn and work as a team.
ISO 9001 or other Quality Management System knowledge or experience a plus
