Job Description OVERVIEW The Research and Development (RandD) Technician will be part of the Totino's Hot Snacks and Frozen Innovation team. Key Career Experiences Gained: Functional: Product and technology development across Totino's and frozen meals innovation. Experiences in new product innovation, HMM, core renovation, and technology development support. Work on the entire end-to-end life ofa project, from idea to commercialization and ongoing maintenance. Leadership: Continuous growth and development, learning mindset, managing multiple priorities, agility Broadening: Exposure to working with a complex product using a broad range of ingredients (flours, fats and oils, dairy, meat, vegetable, starches, hydrocolloids) and processing technologies (mixing, coextrusion, forming, frying, freezing) KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES General project support (at the direction of others) Execute and document tests, panels and experiments (in labs, pilot plant, plant) working with RandD developers and Shared Services support; data capture and organization; producing prototypes (CFD support) Build basic technical skills: product, process and/or packaging Procure and manage materials; manage and maintain lab spaces; basic equipment setup, teardown, sanitation Agile, ability to balance multiple priorities and flex across teams within a platform as work needs shift MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 2-Year Degree or High School Degree w/3-5 years of directly relatable experience Basic computer/technology skills (Office Suite, other computer programs) Comfortable in processing (pilot plant or plant) and lab environments; comfortable operating equipment Leads with safety - commitment to and understanding of food safety and human safety PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous work experience in a similar field (Food product development experience/Laboratory experience) Strong attention to detail; adept at gathering, manipulating and interpreting data Effectively manage multiple competing priorities Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to a team environment Interpersonal ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization to advance your work Passionate around the creation of food, CPG industry, and consumer trends (both food and packaging) COMPANY OVERVIEW We exist to make food the world loves.
