Aerotek Study Director / Scientist in Minneapolis, Minnesota


Study Directors/Scientists, specifically focused in Biocompatibility or Pharmacology.

Summary: Provides scientific support and leadership to clients and other scientific staff in the conduct of GLP and non-GLP studies, including study and program design, utilization of technology data collection and interpretation, and study report writing.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Maintains knowledge of applicable company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in order to successfully perform job duties, and GLP regulations as they apply to the preclinical research environment and individual protocols.

  2. Serves as Study Director for routine and more advanced Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) studies and assures that all applicable GLP regulations are followed.

  3. Serves as Study Director for routine and more advanced non-GLP studies.

  4. Provides study design development and pre-study consultation with clients and scientific staff. Generates protocols and IACUC documents for review.

  5. Assists in the coordination and execution of study conduct tasks from study initiation to study completion.

  6. Assures adherence to protocol, protocol amendments, and company SOPs throughout the conduct of studies

  7. Assures that all data including unanticipated responses are accurately recorded, verified and organized.

  8. Provides data analysis and interpretation and writes study reports.

  9. Assures that study records for GLP studies are archived upon completion of the study.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:


• Bachelor degree in biological sciences or related field required.

• 1-4 years experience in an animal laboratory environment required.

• Medical device research or pathology experience required, and a strong working knowledge of AAALAC, USDA and GLP regulations and preclinical testing facility operations and procedures.

• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
