About This Role: The purpose of the Chemist II role is to conduct analytical testing of raw materials, drug products, stability and non-routine samples, in addition to participate in the test method development, validation and technical transfers as required. They are responsible for ensuring that all testing is carried out in accordance with cGMP. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Provides Analytical test support for QC Analytical laboratory. Raw material, in process, finished product and stability testing. Review and approval of laboratory results and documentation. Maintains stability / retains program. Makes technical decisions and lead out of specification and deviation investigations with implementation of suitable corrective and preventative actions. Prepares standard and sample solutions as required by the test methods. Operates general analytical instruments during testing (i.e. UPLC, titrator, FTIR spectroscopy). Validation, operation, maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments. Performs peer review of other chemists work. Ensure all analytical testing is carried out as defined in Quality System Perform analytical method development and validations as required. Provide analytical support to process validations. Review of all laboratory Quality Systems to ensure compliance to GMP. Participate in Regulatory, Internal and Vendor audit programs as required. Provide technical guidance / trouble shooting where applicable. Build Quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements What We re Looking For In You: Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related science 3+ years of analytical laboratory experience Experience using various laboratory instruments such as: HPLC / UPLC, dissolution apparatus, USP/NF monograph, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, pH meter, Karl Fischer, FTIR, GC, etc. Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience in writing, reviewing and revising documentation Preferred Qualifications Experience with Waters Empower Software, and other laboratory software Pharma experience Familiar with ICH, FDA stability guidelines (21 CFR) and GMP Experience in regulated/cGMP environment About Us As a global medical technology leader for more than 35 years, our mission at Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX) is to transform lives through innovative medical solutions that improve the health of patients.
