Support Revox and other Cantel interests related to sterilization by performing the following duties. Responsibilities Isolate and make cultures of significant bacteria or other micro-organisms in prescribed or standard inhibitory medical, controlling factors such as moisture, aeration, temperature, and nutrition using aseptic technique. Knowledge of biological indicators (BIs) is required. Identify micro-organisms by microscope examination of physiological, morphological, and cultural characteristics by gram staining with specific knowledge of bacterial endospores. Conduct sterilization validations using steam, EO, vapor H2O2 or radiation for FDA review. Perform testing as outlined by AAMI, AOAC 966.04, ASTM, FDA, EPA, and ISO 14937. Make chemical analyses of substances such as acids, alcohols, and enzymes produced by bacteria and other micro-organisms on organic matter. Devise and conduct studies to measure effects of sterilization on products using Dvalues. Conduct all studies so that quality data are generated and recorded in laboratory notebook under Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), when needed.
