Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking an Analyst – Data Scientist to formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information. Work with leadership to provide unbiased and accurate information, analysis, consultation and recommendations to support strategic and operational initiatives for Mayo Clinic. Develop models to review residency applicants for the Plastic Surgery Department to promote efficient staff and facility utilization using NLP technology. Build a system using Google Dialogue flow platform to interact with patients interested in plastic surgery. Design, develop and recommend new approaches, methodologies and tools for data driven decision making and planning.
The position requires a Master’s degree, or higher, or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Operations Research or closely related field. The position requires at least 5 years (60 months) of experience as a Data Scientist, Operations Research Analyst, Software/Systems Developer or closely related occupation; including at least 2 years (24 months) of experience working with the following tools and technologies: Base SAS, Advanced SAS, SQL-Server, SAS Studio, R Studio, DB2, and Data Grip. All experience may be gained concurrently.
