Position description

Mayo Clinic Children's Center in Rochester, MN, is seeking Pediatric Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists with exceptional clinical skills with an interest in developing high-level, subspecialty care. These individuals will support the growing, innovative subspecialty practices and have opportunities to participate in clinical and translational research. Each member of the division actively participates in clinical and translational research and in the growth and expansion of clinic, education, and research activities. The individual would also participate in regional outreach clinics. The division offers specialty clinics in IBD, hepatology, liver transplant, feeding, celiac, aerodigestive and esophageal disease. Fellows in our division work closely with all faculty and can pursue a NIH T-32 funded research path.

Our large outpatient clinical base and strong institutional commitments to education and research provide excellent career opportunities for the successful candidate. Mayo Clinic offers the advantages of a renowned medical center with a multidisciplinary and integrated collaborative practice. The pediatric gastroenterologists work in close collaboration with the 90+ member, multispecialty Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine and with the 80 members of the adult Gastroenterology and Hepatology Division, allowing great integration of academic interests. Excellent education exposure is available with the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, including our Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship, Pediatric Residency, and Mayo Medical Students. The institution has an outstanding infrastructure for basic and clinical research including the Center for Translational Science Activities and in the Rochester Epidemiology Project.

License or certification

Candidates must be board certified/board eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology and have excellent clinical skills. Candidates must also have experience in teaching and clinical, basic, or translational research.
