Why Mayo Clinic Position description The Supervisor - Statisiticians functions as a statistical consultant/project manager by applying statistical, computer and scientific expertise to the design, implementation, analysis, interpretations, and reporting of research, clinical and administrative studies. The Supervisor-Statistician directly supervises masters prepared statisticians and may supervise statistical programmer analysts as well.
Qualifications Master’s degree in Statistics/Biostatistics or equivalent, or a Masters’ degree in Mathematics or Public Health with at least 12 graduate level semester hours in statistics, with a GPA of 3.0 or greater. 6+ years experience at the statistician level.
Additional qualifications Experience in SAS, Splus, and Inges on UNIX System or IBM mainframe. Three or more years experience as consulting statistician. Expertise in the use of statistical computing and data management packages. Well-developed oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate various tasks on multiple, concurrent projects. Demonstrated success as an independent consulting statistician on most projects. Frequently demonstrated initiative/innovation in administration, education (seminars, SSUI, training), software development, technical reports. Demonstrated success in project management and communication skills.

Compensation Detail Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $4,119.20, based on a full-time position.
