Kimley-Horn is looking for upcoming or recent graduates to join our St. Paul, MN office focusing on Environmental Science!

Interested candidates must have a willingness to perform general tasks supporting various environmental projects. Knowledge of federal and state environmental review requirements (National Environmental Policy Act and Minnesota regulations) and wetland science including knowledge of botany and soils is a plus. Experience or classwork in the following is also desired: ecology, water resources, wildlife, and general environmental science or policy topics. Responsibilities will include the preparation of state and federal environmental compliance documents and associated technical documents under the direction of senior staff.

Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Field support

  • GIS mapping

  • Data analysis

  • Agency coordination

  • Report writing

  • Preparation of state and federal environmental compliance documents


  • Have or in the process of receiving a BS or BA degree from an ABET accredited university in the field of Environmental Science, Botany, Biology, Ecology or similar area by summer of 2021

  • Strong communication, leadership and technical skills

  • Excellent writing skills

  • GIS experience

  • Microsoft Office experience

  • Flexibility to travel to other cities and office locations for projects as needed

  • Flexibility to work in both in an office environment and in the field

  • Valid driver’s license
