Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Air Toxics Scientist in St. Paul, Minnesota
The incumbent will conduct and review modeling assessments of air toxics that estimate human health risk from facility air emissions and assists with the update of guidance documents for these analyses. This position assists with incorporating scientific computing and automation into human health risk data processing and analysis in order to advance the state-of-the-knowledge and practice at the agency. The incumbent collaborates with other Environmental Analysis and Outcomes Division staff to improve the manner of assessing cumulative impacts and the development of procedures to incorporate risk based decision making into agency programs. The incumbent also works in cooperation with other MPCA divisions and state agencies on health risk issues and assists in communicating risk related science.
