Ecolab Inc Associate Regulatory Specialist in St. Paul, Minnesota

Ecolab is seeking anAssociate Regulatory Specialist to support the Global Trade Compliance team. This role can sit in either St. Paul, MN or Naperville, IL. What's in it For You: The opportunity to take on some of the world's most meaningful challenges, helping customers achieve clean water, safe food, and healthy environments The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives and ideas to achieve our best What You Will Do: Harmonize tariff codes, Drug Enforcement Agency and Chemical Weapons Convention Classifications - chemical and equipment classification Write and maintain procedures and system controls to comply with import and export regulations Coordinate, prepare, submit, and secure all necessary paperwork for regulatory permits, licenses,and registrations (DEA, BIS, etc) Support RandD requests for shipping samples outside of the standard ERP system, to ensure compliance with export regulations Support new product introduction requests Provide reporting information to government agencies (chemical weapons reporting) and 3rd party providers (freight forwarders and brokers) Run compliance reports from ERP system; update ERP systems to ensure master data is current Provide KPI's and monthly metrics regarding number of requests and turnaround time Assist with equipment and digital project work and assist in preparing training pertaining to the Global Trade Compliance Program Support BIS classification requests and data collection for requests and/or advisory opinions Provide data for Customs inquiries and responding to information requested via e.g. CF-28s Support Free Trade Agreements program- perform qualifications for Free Trade and provide suggestions for cost savings opportunities Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related technical field No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity No Relocation Assistance provided Preferred Qualifications: 1-5 years of previous experience within Global Trade and/or Regulatory Affairs field Proficiency in another language in addition to English Good problem-solving skills Good written and verbal communication skills Experience with excel, VBA code, and SAP Ability to work independently with minimal supervision A trusted partner at nearly three million commercial customer locations, Ecolab (ECL) is the global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services.
