Job Description:

Regions Neurodiagnostic Lab has an opening for a Sr. Neurodaignostic Tech. The schedule will be both day/evening shifts and share on call coverage with Tech Team with approximate 6-7 days on call per month. In this position you will prepare patients for Neurodiagnostic examination procedures and to administer neurodiagnostic tests as prescribed. Maintain files and records relevant to departmental activities, clean and maintain equipment and provide consultation to technologists in subordinate classifications, if applicable and to perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Certification/graduate of accredited END program accredited by the Committee of Allied Health Education. An associate degree from an accredited college is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 year of experience in END field.

Knowledge, Skills

& Abilities:

Effective job performance requires knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, neurological disorders/diseases and electroneurodiagnostic equipment. Knowledge of basic electronics and experience with computer operation. Must be professional, sincere and self- motivated, with the ability to interact with patients and with other professionals including surgeons, doctors, nurses and other staff.

Licensure/Registration/Certification:

Certification in END, or registration in 1of the following areas, EEG, EP, or NCV; or willingness to obtain within 1 year of hire.
