Stryker Staff Manufacturing Engineer, Packaging in St. Paul, Minnesota

Stryker’s word-class surgical ear, nose & throat (ENT) manufacturing facility in Plymouth, Minnesota is seeking to hire a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to support pre/post sterile packaging lines.

  • This role will develop, and support manufacturing processes related to pre/post-sterile packaging and distribution packaging to ensure Stryker products arrive at their destination meeting all fit, form, and function requirements.

  • Program and validate label printing for new and existing product lines.

  • Develop and manage complete packaging process for sterile and non-sterile product.

  • Create manufacturing procedures and train and support manufacturing.

  • Troubleshoot new and existing packaging problems including materials, processes, and equipment.

  • Work closely with design engineering to create and evaluate packaging systems that may involve temperature and environmental controls.

  • Work with supplier quality to identify vendors and support non-conforming materials.

  • Implement improved processes factoring in cost savings, efficiency, safety, and minimizing environmental footprint.

  • Work across divisions to standardize supply and processes where appropriate.

  • Own and maintain documentation of all equipment defined in packaging processes.

  • Coordinate and manage product distribution testing.

  • Assist in sterilization validations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required - Required

  • 4+ years related work experience - Required

  • Validation of equipment experience - Required

  • Non-Conformance experience - Preferred

  • Nice Label software experience, including programming - Preferred

  • Previous medical device manufacturing or medical device packaging experience - Preferred

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 10%
