Pentair is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op to join our team in St. Paul, MN. The Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op will partner with our Manufacturing Engineering and Operations team to improve our manufacturing procedures and processes, streamline value streams and utilize lean tools to create best practices.

Perform optimizations and capability studies to complete the implementation of new or existing manufacturing equipment.
Improve Product Flow using lean principles and develop standard work to increase quality, on time delivery, and productivity
Execute installation qualification (IQ), operational qualification (OQ), and process qualification (PQ) for new pieces of equipment. Prepare all necessary manufacturing documentation and implement to support cost reduction and on time delivery.
Justification of new equipment, gather data on scrap, downtime, labor, OEE on our current machines. Understand the capability of new equipment and develop a justification and CER for new a machine that when implemented will drive value stream wide improvements to safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Design and implement tooling to improve productivity, safety, and product quality in manufacturing
Support current on-going daily manufacturing activities, projects and transformational plans for the site
Be a sophomore or higher in an undergrad Engineering program (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical)
Be willing to work a July to December Coop rotation
We like, but don’t require:
Previous internship experience
2D/3D modeling experience
DOE and/or process capability analysis
Major in Manufacturing Engineering
