Pieper Farms LLC Agricultural Equipment Operator in Williams, Minnesota

Need 5 Agricultural Equipment Operators to work for Pieper Farms in Williams, MN. From: 08/15/2019 to 06/15/2020 Mon-Sat. 8hrs./day, 48 hrs./week Workers may be requested but not required to work 10 hours per day and/or on their Sabbath or Federal holidays depending upon the conditions in the fields, weather, and maturity of the crop. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 3 months experience working with potatoes; proficient in English. JOB DUTIES: August thru February, load and fill potato storage, assist in storing potatoes including monitoring and adjusting temperature and humidity control during the storage season to keep optimum storage conditions. Load and unload potatoes, keep quality control of all potatoes that are being shipped out. Grade and sort according to factors such as size and quality to ensure correct processing and usage. Place products in containers according to grade and mark grades on containers. In February, prepare fields and plant potatoes. In March until May workers will operate center pivots, hilling, spraying machines, and in June harvest potatoes. Routine repairs and maintenance on all grading equipment. Must Apply By: 01/14/2020. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $12.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $55.00 per day with receipts.
