Allina Health Laboratory provides a full menu of essential and specialized laboratory services to customers in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. We provide reference laboratory services to four major metropolitan hospitals, 13 regional hospitals, including Abbott Northwestern – WestHealth (Plymouth), 59+ Allina Health clinics, 40+ hospital-based clinics and outpatient surgery centers. As a local, accessible resource, we provide clinical and anatomic pathology services that support customers diagnostic needs.

Collect and obtain satisfactory specimen samples
Correct processing of specimens in a timely manner
Prepare and maintain supplies to efficiently collect specimens
Perform other duties as assigned
High School diploma
Specific training in phlebotomy, including internship
- Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience preferred
Utilize communication and customer service skills in order to positively impact the experience of care for our patients, external customers and internal service partners
Collect routine specimens using knowledge of laboratory techniques
Label all specimens accurately
Communicate with internal and external customers using knowledge of medical terminology
Read and understand oral and written instructions and to follow established written protocols and procedures
Work independently and function effectively in a team setting
Bend, stoop and stand frequently
Demonstrate computer skills to navigate within an EMS and laboratory information system
Phlebotomy certification; or
Medical Assistant who becomes certified within 6 months of hire; or
Phlebotomy experience with 3 or more years of service; and
BLS certification within 6 months of hire
8 hr day shifts. Predominantly 8-4:30, with variable start times from 7:15-9:00.
Home clinic will be Allina Health Woodbury Clinic with the potential to float to other sites in the Hub/Region

The outdoor complex includes athletic fields, picnic facilities, and play equipment. Public and private education options are also available along with easy access to many prestigious higher education institutions throughout the Twin Cities.
